Intoto Booth #325 at the RSA 2005 Conference
RSA CONFERENCE, San Francisco, Calif.,
February 15, 2005 — Intoto, a leading provider of integrated security,
wireless and voice software platforms to networking equipment manufacturers,
today announced that its iGateway EX SecureSME software platform has been
deployed by NETGEAR®, a
worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, in
the recently announced ProSafe™ VPN Firewall 200 (FVX538) and the ProSafe™ VPN
Firewall 50 (FVS338) security routers for Small and
Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). With Intoto’s advanced iGateway EX SecureSME software, these NETGEAR
ProSafe routers deliver comprehensive enterprise-class network security
solutions to support main offices, remote sites and branch offices up to 250
users. Product displays will be
showcased in Booth #325 at the RSA Conference.
“In targeting the SME market with business-class products,
we needed a software solution that would allow us to successfully compete in a
market with established vendors, but also one that allowed us to get to market
quickly,” said Kevin Allan, director of product management and marketing for
business products at NETGEAR. “Intoto
was able to supply us with a complete software solution that immediately put us
at the leading edge of SME products. The
iGateway platform provides the security and routing functionality that quickly
enabled us to deliver an SME product that was superior to the incumbent
products in this category.”
NETGEAR’s
VPN firewall routers are feature-rich network security solutions that combine
VPN, stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall connectivity, quality of service
(QoS), and SNMP for centralized management. The ProSafe VPN Firewall 200 (FVX538) can support up to 200 simultaneous
VPN end-point tunnels and the ProSafe VPN Firewall 50 can support up to 50 VPN
end-point tunnels. Both solutions also
include 3DES and AES IPsec encryption, providing robust network protection for
small-to-medium enterprises with remote sites.
“NETGEAR’s iGateway implementation is a perfect example of
how organizations that need to enter new markets quickly can use our turnkey
software to immediately compete with established vendors,” said Doug Makishima,
vice president of marketing at Intoto. “The iGateway product set provides the
latest firewall and security functionality in a package that quickly and easily
integrates with an existing hardware platform.”
Intoto
plans to provide software upgrades to include optional anti-virus, anti-spam,
anti-spyware policy enforcement, SSL VPN functionality and a robust intrusion prevention
system, IntruPro™, for the ProSafe security product line.
