Intoto Announces Support for Star Semiconductor’s ORION ST9100 and STR9200 High Performance Gigabit SOCs for Home Networks

Santa Clara, Calif. and HsinChu, Tw. June 7, 2006 – Intoto, a leading provider of network-centric secure gateway software for networking and communications Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Star Semiconductor, a world leader in Gigabit home networking system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions, today announced that Intoto’s comprehensive iGateway security platforms will support the latest generation of Star’s ORION SoC family. This comprehensive, integrated solution will provide network appliance vendors with a high-performance hardware and software solution. It also enables OEMs to easily and quickly develop secure, next-generation networking equipment, security appliances, security routers, secure WLAN AP and switches, and VoIP IADs.

Intoto’s iGateway software platforms enable OEMs to quickly develop security appliances and converged broadband gateways and UTM appliances. Key features include firewall, VPN, intrusion detection and prevention (IPS), and anti-virus. Next-generation products will also include content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-spyware.

Star’s Orion family are ARM9 based and include Gigabit interfaces to enable 1000Mbps performance in consumer applications. The Orion 9100/9200 family provides network vendors a single chip solution, integrated Gigabit Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 host controller, PCI 33/66Mhz Host, 32bit DDR memory controller and internal high performance hardware acceleration for Network Address Translation (NAT) and Layer 7 content inspection.
