Intoto Debuts Turn-Key Unified Threat Management (UTM) Platform Solution for Network Security OEMs iGateway EX UTM Product Delivers Comprehensive, Integrated Security in a Single Platform INTEROP 2006 CONFERENCE, May 2, 2006 — Intoto, a leading provider of network-centric secure gateway software for networking and communications original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), today announced its next-generation integrated network security software platform that delivers industry-leading UTM functionality. Intoto’s iGateway EX UTM integrates all the key technologies critical for networking OEMs building enterprise-class UTM security appliances, including intrusion prevention and detection (IPS/IDP), firewall, anti-virus and anti-spam, SSL-VPN, IPsec VPN, and a host of other capabilities. The company will demonstrate its iGateway EX UTM solution along with other network security and convergence platforms at the Interop 2006 Spring Conference this week at Intoto’s booth #901. “With the UTM segment poised for explosive growth, OEMs are racing to deliver products that tap into this exciting opportunity,” noted Doug Makishima, vice president of marketing at Intoto. “Yet by its very nature, the UTM concept raises the challenge of combining a broad range of highly complex security technologies and next-generation Integrated Circuit (IC) solutions into a single, integrated package. Intoto’s UTM technologies include IntruPro™ Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), new network-based anti-virus and anti-spam technology, VPN, Firewall, and the latest SSL-VPN application. Intoto's gateway anti-virus and anti-spam technology is an open and flexible, allowing for the support of 3rd party scan engines and signature databases. The platform has pre-integrated support for industry leading antivirus from Kasperky Lab and anti-spam from Commtouch. The UTM solution also incorporates networking technologies such as Load Balancing, Fail-Over, QoS/Traffic Management and Virtualization. IDC predicts that, by 2009, UTM will become the single largest market segment within network security – growing to $2.4 billion and surpassing even firewall appliances.
