Intoto Announces Support for Cavium Networks’ New OCTEON CN31XX and CN30XX Family of Single and Dual Core MIPS64-based Processors

January 30, 2006 – Intoto, a leading provider of network-centric secure gateway software for networking and communications Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Cavium Networks, a world leader in security, network services, and embedded processor solutions, today announced that Intoto’s comprehensive iGateway security platforms will support the latest generation of Cavium Networks OCTEON processor family. The combined solution will offer a high-performance software and hardware solution to networking vendors building secure, next-generation networking equipment, such as unified threat management (UTM) appliances, security appliances, security routers, secure WLAN AP and switches, and VoIP IADs.
Intoto will showcase a technology demo of its iGateway software platform running on Cavium’s new OCTEON processors at the RSA Conference in San Jose, CA on Feb 13-17, 2006, at booth #2135.

Intoto’s iGateway software platforms enable OEMs to quickly bring integrated security appliances and converged business gateways to market. Next-generation products will also include content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-spyware.

Cavium Networks’ OCTEON MIPS64 based processor family consists 1 – 16 MIPS64 based cores with application performance ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps and price points starting under $20. The OCTEON processor family provide networking vendors a single chip with integrated Ethernet and/or SPI4.2 networking interfaces, 144bit DRAM DDR-2 memory controller, optional RLDRAM2/DDR-2 memory controller, optional TCAM connectivity and internal hardware acceleration for packet processing, TCP, and Security, compression / decompression and string matching.
