The combined solution will offer a high-performance software and hardware solution to networking vendors building secure, next-generation networking equipment, such as unified threat management (UTM) appliances, security appliances, security routers, secure WLAN AP and switches, and VoIP IADs.

Intoto will showcase a technology demo of its iGateway software platform running on Cavium’s new OCTEON processors at the RSA Conference in San Jose, CA on Feb 13-17, 2006, at booth #2135.

Next-generation products will also include content filtering, anti-spam, and anti-spyware.

Cavium Networks’ OCTEON MIPS64 based processor family consists 1 – 16 MIPS64 based cores with application performance ranging from 100Mbps to 10Gbps and price points starting under $20. The OCTEON processor family provide networking vendors a single chip with integrated Ethernet and/or SPI4.2 networking interfaces, 144bit DRAM DDR-2 memory controller, optional RLDRAM2/DDR-2 memory controller, optional TCAM connectivity and internal hardware acceleration for packet processing, TCP, and Security, compression / decompression and string matching.
